We discovered this place in Çankaya district, near the Estonian Embassy — one of the better areas of Ankara with diplomatic offices and quality cafes around.
The interior
This is a small, cozy cafe with around 10 tables. The interior has turquoise walls, vintage furniture with mismatched chairs, and red rugs on the floor. The owner's dog was sleeping peacefully on one of the rugs, which added to the homey atmosphere. The first thing I noticed when we entered was a pleasant floral or herbal aroma — I'm not an expert in scents, but it created a welcoming feeling. Background music was playing at just the right volume, not interfering with conversation at all.
The tea
We came in for a short break and ordered winter tea. It arrived in a French press along with small bowls of ingredients — lemon slices, cinnamon sticks, honey, and spices. Being able to assemble your own tea was unexpected for a simple winter tea and a nice touch — you can customize it exactly to your taste. The tea was ready in just a few minutes. Service was friendly and attentive.
Worth it?
We only had time to try the tea, but we're definitely saving this place for the future. It's the kind of spot that works well for both a quick 20-minute break and a relaxed, longer visit. Also a great place to warm up when the weather outside isn't cooperating.
