Our Petkit Yumshare Solo feeder suddenly stopped connecting to any phone via Bluetooth and WiFi — no prior issues, no warning. Here is what happened when we sent it to this authorized service center.
Two visits, same result
We sent it in twice. Both times it came back with the same conclusion: "no fault detected, device operates within manufacturer standards". At home — same problem. Neither iPhone nor Android could see the device.
Throughout the entire process, the service insisted the issue was on our end — apparently we weren't performing the reset correctly. They sent us a video instruction. We followed it exactly. Nothing changed. The reset on the Petkit Yumshare Solo requires pressing a single button — there's nothing complicated about it. Moreover, the Petkit Yumshare Solo does not have a dedicated restart button, yet that's exactly what we kept being referred to.
The service claimed their technicians had successfully connected to the device and that it was "working fine". How exactly — remains a mystery, because at home the device behaved exactly the same as before we sent it in.
How the problem was actually fixed
We eventually went to a different service center in Antalya. The technician immediately tried to connect the feeder in front of us and confirmed it wasn't working. We left it for diagnostics. The next day it was returned fully functional. The cause: dry food particles on the motherboard. A straightforward physical issue that the authorized service center failed to find across two visits — while repeatedly telling us everything was fine.
Because the feeder wasn't working, we had to arrange for someone to be home at all times for several weeks. The whole point of buying this device was to avoid exactly that during work trips — in practice it wasn't doing its job for weeks.
The complaint
We filed a complaint with the Tüketici Hakem Heyeti. In their defense, the company cited a procedural technicality — a name discrepancy between the invoice and the applicant — and the case was dismissed on formal grounds.
Verdict
If this service tells you your device is fine and you know it isn't — don't waste your time. Go somewhere else. Advice from personal experience.
